What is the Security deposit Payment?

The cost displayed along with each item is the Security deposit for the item as shown below. This is the amount collected by Deccan Mountain Club as Security before the item is dispatched. The usage cost is deducted from this amount and the balance is refunded along with the return courier charges initially paid by the user to return the items using India Post Speed post service(or any other courier).
